Preservation

The Clark Museum of Okoboji Area & Iowa History is one of Iowa's most enjoyable and informative history Museums. The Museum was established in 1985 and first featured items from Lake Okoboji, Arnold’s Park, Milford and other area towns. The Museum now displays thousands of pictures of the entire Iowa Great Lakes Region, each  picture includes a researched and written story.

Major Addition

The Museum has doubled the display area with the addition of  second building. See how the original Arnold’s Park Amusement Park was in the 1940-1960s. Items now on exhibit are original games, signs, authentic roller coaster cars and much more. Past era restaurants and business artifacts and historic items are also now on display.

The Museum now has the space to rotate 20,000 original area memorabilia and Business Advertisements. 5,000 pictorial and written histories of the Iowa Great Lakes area and various areas in Iowa are available. This magnificent collection is available for your viewing pleasure.

Many people intend to stop by for a few minutes and end up spending hours viewing all of the interesting items on display. We invite you to stop by for either a self paced tour or to receive a highly acclaimed guided tour of the facilities. Also displayed are thousands of authentic signs, memorabilia, advertising and impressive one-of-a-kind items.

The Museum's curators are very experienced at collecting, researching, and documenting the area's rich history.
